Baba Savoury Muffin

A moist and fluffy savoury muffin recipe.

  • muffin
  • 200g plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 300ml milk
  • 100ml Naturel Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • filling
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 100g carrot, chopped
  • 100g zucchini
  • 50g sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 5 springs cilantro, chopped
  • 50g cilantro (chopped)


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180C.

Step 2

Heat 30ml of Naturel Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil in a frying pan, then saute the onions, garlic and vegetables till cooked. Set aside to cool.

Step 3

Prepare the muffin. Combine all the dry ingredients into a large mixing bowl and  mix well. Add the wet ingredients, milk, oil and eggs, little at a time till it forms a batter. Finally, add the cooked vegetables and chopped cilantro.

Step 4

Pour mixture into muffin moulds or paper moulds and top it with grated cheese.


Step 5

Bake for 20 mins until lightly brown or test with a stick to ensure it is baked throughout. Remove from the oven and place on a wire rack to cool before serving.
